26th Feb 2024
After a long break of over a month, a game of fine margins saw Barnet Panthers U15s Silver come away on the wrong end of a 3-1 result in their league match against Lymore Gardens
In a game played in great spirit, we saw plenty of free-flowing football in which the girls competed for every ball and played on the front foot
The first half saw the Silver team create some great openings. They passed the ball from the back to front with panache but unfortunately were unable to make the most of the plentiful chances that came their way. Lymore grew into the game in the first half scoring a quick-fire double to go into half time 2-0 up.
However, the Silvers started the second half strongly, with Fideline latching onto the rebound of her first initial shot to reduce the deficit. 2-1 Lymore.
The Silvers then took the game to Lymore but were hit on the counter-attack with Lymore adding to their tally. The team fought hard until the final whistle and carried on being brave on the ball but it wasn’t to be and the game ended 3-1 to Lymore
Despite the result, there werelots of positives to take away from the game. Both teams played some great football and every Panthers player can be proud of their performance, and pleased with the progress they’re making.
Well done all
