Barnet Panthers U13s v Omonia U13s Gold
GirlsSuperleague
Sunday 25th February 2024
Their first match for nearly a month, U13 Panthers were keen to get back on the turf as they faced Omonia Golds at St James’ School on a cold but bright Sunday morning.
The Panthers came into the match looking to make up ground on leaders MLS whilst playing some good football and also enjoying their day.
Panthers were quick out of the blocks with some great attacking play and spectacular finishes which saw them going into the half-time break with a healthy lead.
Omonia played some great football and were there up the challenge with Panthers having to work hard in the second half to win the majority of duels and second balls. The hard work on the training ground was clearly paying off, as Panthers consistently made line-breaking passes causing difficulties for the opposition
A lovely moment for Leah who scored her first goal for the club right before the full-time whistle amidst much celebration.
Thanks to Omonia for a great match. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Looking forward to our next match against our friends at London City Strikers U13s who we sit neck-to-neck with in the table. Should be fun
