On Saturday 2nd and 3rd March, grassroots football will be supporting the Silent Football Weekend initiative.
Silent Support helps create a more positive space for players by cutting down on unnecessary distraction from the sidelines. This weekend, the FA are encouraging spectators to support their teams with applause only rather than hearing lots of voices offering conflicting instructions, players will have the freedom to learn for themselves.
We support the concept of Silent Support Weekend. However, over the last year we as a club have adapted the idea and created our own Positive Support Policy. Week in and week out we encourage both our and the opposition supporters to only give the players positive support and cheering. No coaching from the sidelines. No berating of match officials or coaches.

This weekend, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March, we will once again continue to encourage our supporters to offer Positive Support to our players both on and off the pitch. We have plans to adapt things slightly for the weekend to give our girls more say. But all in all, this weekend – like all other weekends – will be positive support weekend.
We urge our opposition teams to join us in this initiative and cheer the girls on
